Happy Fall
Hi to everyone! It’s about 7:00pm on a Sunday night and I’m thinking
where the summer went. We just returned from Duluth and some of the colors
are already looking very nice. Mary and I have already had a mini fall run from
Brainerd to Duluth. We even got information for runs by Duluth if anyone
wants to do the next year’s Fall run. There was a lot of traffic up there on the
way home.
First of all I want to thank Duane and Jane for doing the Otsego
monthly meeting. I heard the food was great and it sounds like a place to put
on calendar for next year. Also a big thank-you goes out to the Moons, the
Dicks, and the Kaisers for doing the Progressive Lunch on the 14th of Sept. It
was great. I think I might have put on another pound that day. You know I was
thinking about all the places we stop for food this summer and there wasn’t one
bad place, everything was great. It always seems we find the best places.
I don’t think the newsletter will be ready to go out before the bi-annual ditch
clean-up which will be Sept 27th. This is just as important to attend as the
other events we have so hopefully there will be a great turn out. We will finish
earlier if more people can help. And remember the club buys lunch.
Up next is the Fall run on Friday, Oct 10/10 — Sun. Oct 10/12 and it
looks like another fun time. If it is anything like last year the color will be per-
fect. Thanks to Lynn and Carolyn for putting the run together. It will be the last
time to get those corvettes out. After that it will be time to put covers on them
and store for winter. (Mary is inserting a page on winterizing your car)
After the fall run, it will be time for the Fall meeting. We will be sending
by e-mail some changes the Executive Board made to the bylaws. Everybody
should take a look at them and let us know by Oct 10, 2008 if you are ok with
them or if you don’t agree with them. We will discuss them and vote on them
at the Fall meeting. We will also be electing officers so if anybody is interesting
in running let someone know that is on the Executive board.
