Follow-up on Fall Run
This year’s Fall Color Run consisted of 14 cars, 27 people, rain, sunshine, 850 miles,
and a great time.  The trip started on Friday morning from Black Bear Casino in Carl-
ton, MN.  From there, we drove six hours (stopping in Ashland, WI for lunch) to
Houghton, MI.  Mother Nature provided us with cloudy weather and held off the
rain till dinner time.  (Good thing the hotel was up on a hill, because it POURED.)
We woke up the next morning to cool temps. and beautiful sunny skies for our trip to
Copper Harbor.  After a lunch stop at the Harbor House and shopping, we piled into
the cars for a trip up Brockway Mountain.  The view from the top of the mountain is
outstanding - you can see Isle Royal.  The trip back to Houghton down hwy. 41 was
spectacular - the road is canopied by trees of gold, green, red, and brown.  Back at
the hotel that evening, we ordered in pizzas and had a chance to visit.  For the trip
back home on Sunday, Mother Nature dished up another fabulous sunny day.
Thanks to everybody who participated.
Side note:  Thank-you Sue and Tom for a great trip.  We
really  enjoyed it all!!  (some of the color)
