Make Plans Today!!
Greetings!
Wow!  Here we are, in June, already!  Well, we’re beginning to enter the heart of the
Corvette season….summer, finally!  I’m excited.  There are so many things planned, and in
the planning stages, that this is promising to be another banner year for CMCA.
We had sixteen cars and a wonderful time on Tom and Sue Thoele’s Mystery
Lunch, and cruise, in Brainerd.  Good food, great fellowship and fantastic desserts at the
Thoele’s (as usual).  That Sue has got a real touch, especially with her raspberry pie!
Thanks to the Thoele family for a wonderful time!
Matt & Ann Renczkowski’s, Country Chevrolet Mystery Dinner Cruise on May 31st
was a rousing success!  Thirty Corvettes, sixteen from the club, along with fourteen others
of Country Chev customers, began at Country Chev, in Annandale, and ended up at
Crostini’s in Monticello.  Crostini’s is an Italian restaurant with fantastic food.  There were
several door prizes, and, Country Chev picked up the tab for the entire evening!  Our
thanks, to our new sponsors, Joel and Sylvia Diers and Pat Francis, of Country Chevrolet,
for a great evening, great food, a great cruise and a whole lot of great fun!  For those of you
who missed it, you missed a good one!  By the way, from this event, we now have another
nine parties interested in possibly joining CMCA!
These Mystery Runs are huge fun for those of you who haven’t gone on one yet.
They are not particularly long, as many have work, or commitments, the next day, or a baby-
sitter that needs to get back home. We always have good food, you get to drive your Cor-
vette in a pack of these beautiful machines and laugh and talk with many of the other CMCA
members.  It is a great way to break up a week with good friends.  Please come to one
whenever you can!
June finds CMCA heading off on Jeff and Cris Drais’ Rhinelander Cruise covering
June 8th through the 10th.  Sounds like a real ball for all who can make it!
Next up is the Foley Parade, hosted by Dale and Von Olmsheid on Wednesday,
June 20th.  I do love a parade and people lining the streets think these cars are fabulous ma-
chines…and they’re right!  This is Murphy Chevrolet territory, a long- time CMCA sponsor.
Let’s put on a great show!
Dave & Kathy Terpstra’s, Saturday, June 23rd, Mystery Lunch Cruise promises to be
an outstanding time, coupled with a great cruise.  We’ll be caravanning up from a fairly cen-
tral meeting point.  Watch for your emails for details.
Remember to let the hosts know if you will be able to attend these events.  Reserva-
tions and other accommodations must be made.  If there is a deadline for replies, please try
to abide by it.  It makes planning SO mush easier.
Looking ahead a little, July is also shaping up as an exciting month!  The Fourth of
July finds us in Annandale, for Country Chev, in the big parade.  Great fun!  Ron and Mary
Bultuis’ Mystery Cruise is coming up, as is a cruise to Fort Snelling, with dinner following,
and other super events.  Watch your emails!
I am going to try and sprinkle in some miscellaneous runs during the upcoming
months, also.  Thoughts I had were, car shows during the week as several local restaurants
sponsor some great gatherings, and the food is always good, and cheap.  Runs to Cold-
stone, or a Dairy Queen, may also be on order and a great excuse to run the cars.  If you
have any additional thoughts, please bring them up and we’ll see about making them hap-
pen!  I’ll be getting info out for anyone interested in any of these. (Cont on back page)
