Happy Summer,
As I am writing this it is sunny, but cool and tonight it will only be 50 de-
grees. But soon they say we will have 80s. We have had enough rain for a while
although some of the stations say we are still behind on moisture. How can that
be?? As I am writing this today it has finally gotten warm, somewhat hot even.
But that is what summer is supposed to be. Now we need rain.
The 4th is
coming up and hope to see a good turn out for the parade in Annandale. It usually
is HOT so expect that. There will be lunch at the golf course afterwards.
Our Mystery Run by the younger Monsos was a good time with 15 cars
in attendance. Even though I wasnt there Mary says the place in Buffalo where
they ate was very good. (The desserts was to die for, according to Mary) No com-
plaints, I hear. Guess she can drive that car, that was kind of a scary but it came
back in one piece. The trip to Paradise Landing was excellent. The weather coop-
erated and we had sun most of the day. On the way home it did start raining, but
cant complain. The food was great and its very nice place on the lake. We got
pictures of the vettes that were on the trip and of course we put the Red, White,
and Blue corvettes in front to honor the 4th of July. On our way to Amery, WI
several of us saw a black bear crossing the road. Also saw where Cris used to
teach school, the roads were great nice hilly roads and you know we had to stop in
Stillwater for ice cream and I have to say that was the biggest $3.00 ice dish I ever
had. I had coconut. Jack loves coconut, right? A Big Thank You goes out to Eric
and Robin and Jeff and Cris for putting the runs together.
Hopefully our members received the email about the code of conduct that
the executive board wrote. We just felt that a group should have something in our
by-laws pertaining to conduct. It is also in this newsletter. Dont forget about the
parade in Annandale the July 4th and get together after the parade. Also dont for-
get to thank the veterans for the freedom we have in this
great country. Then there is our monthly meeting on the
9th, Wednesday at The Landing. Get your RSVP to Mary
by the 4th. mrbulthuis@clearwire.net or Call (320) 253-
4623. Thanks Happy Trails for this month. Ron
