HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY EVERYONE!!
I am writing this on a very cold night, suppose to get down to –20 with wind chill
of 30-40 Below!!  Yuks.  Spring can’t come fast enough.  Today I saw a yellow
convertible Corvette going down Highway 10 South.  It was new with “Denny
Hecker” plates.  It was an elderly man driving.  I thought what is he doing??  But
it also made me jealous to get my Corvette out, too.  Like I said before, Spring
can’t come fast enough.
The Holiday Party was a big success with I believe 36 members and sponsors
in attendance.  Thank you Robin, Eric, Luan and Jack for a job well done!!  Al-
most everyone went home with some type of gift.  That was due to our spon-
sors, Murphy Chevrolet, RA Morton, and Country Chevrolet who donated prizes.
We really appreciate those items!!  Our sponsors are great!  Sorry to say, but on
our way home I met a County Sheriff who turned around and stopped us when
we turned off.  It was the ONLY car on the road.  Since I am such a nice guy he
let me off with a warning.  He said I was going 65 in a 55.  Thank goodness I
wasn’t in the Corvette, cuz I think I would have been going faster.  It only tells
me one thing, “Obey the Speed Limit”.
Our next event is coming up soon, Feb 23.  The Chili Feed!!  Look in the news-
letter for all the details.  Also who is in charge of bringing the antacids??!!
We also have more info on the “Vettes on the Rockies” event.  We do have 6
cars so far!!  Would be great to have more.  Everyone think about it ‘cuz we
WILL have fun.
Our Spring Meeting will be in April so start thinking about ideas for summer
events, mystery dinners, progressive dinners, DQ runs, picnic, parades, etc—
We will need members to volunteer to “head-up” these events, etc….
If our sponsors want us to be part of any event that they have in the summer,
like parades, or whatever; we would be more than happy to participate.  Please
