CMCA Spring Planning Meeting Minutes
March 31, 2007
The meeting was called to order at 2:45 p.m.
Attendance:  Ed Reilly & Allegra, Linda & John Kaiser, Pat & Wally Cripe, Ron &
Mary Bulthuis, Jeff & Cris Drais, Deb & LeRoy Czech, Kathy & Dave Terpstra, John
& Joanne Meyer, Dale & Von Olmscheid, Rick & Deb Murphy, Lynn Steenblock &
Carolyn Olson, Tom Thoele and Kathy & Mark Dooher.
Fall Minutes:  Reviewed.  It was discussed from the Fall Meeting that an event
budget may be set.  One event that would be paid for entirely through CMCA funds
is the end of the summer picnic.
Treasurer’s Report:  The March 5th balance was $2,477.85.  To date we have
received $875 in 2007 dues (a few past members have yet to renew) and $275 from
Country Chevrolet for their corporate sponsorship.  There are outstanding bills
totaling $481.51.  The balance after bills are paid will be $3,146.34.  Murphy
Chevrolet will be billed for the 2007 corporate sponsorship.  In the future, all
sponsors will be billed January 1st.
Dues checks have not been deposited as Cris was not able to get on the signature
card.  This will be taken care of when DeWenter’s return shortly.  **Sorry for any
inconvenience this has caused in balancing your checkbook!
NCM Update:  The museum construction project is continuing.  A lot of the articles
Jeff Drais submits to our newsletter come from the NCM.
Apparel Update:  Ed said that maybe there is interest in running the apparel
program every 2 years?  There were very few orders this year.  Please note that no
money from the apparel sales goes to CMCA or Ed (although Tom Thoele argued
loudly on this point
) when orders are placed.  Rambow does have items such as
travel mugs, coffee cups, pen, etc. that we could look at personalizing with CMCA.
It is something to think about.  If we placed an order it would be done in the same
format with a pre-pay system.
Club Sponsor Update:  CMCA has 2 main sponsors:  Murphy Chevrolet & Country
Chevrolet.  These Corvette dealers each pay $275 for sponsorship.  We will be
getting plaques for their businesses to display that show they are a CMCA sponsor
along with their years of sponsorship.
The sponsorship committee will also be signing up Associate Sponsors.  Their fee
will be $125 per year.  They will receive a certificate from the club.  There will be no
limit on the number of associate sponsors that we can have.
A club membership is included with a sponsorship.  Sponsors will have their logos
displayed on our newsletter, website and brochure.
